Oyster Farm and Tasting Sea Kayak 3 hour tour

Oyster Farm Tour and Tasting by Sea Kayak on Mere Point Bay heading along Birch Island to one of the oyster strings maintained by Mere Point Oyster Co. or to nearby Upper Goose Island and visit Love Point Oysters. 

 During our 3 hour sea kayak paddle on Mere Point Bay we will see birds in migration as well as possibly bald eagles, great blue herons, osprey, and fish jumping. We will be stopping at a Mere Point Oyster Company or at Love Point Oysters oyster farm string to learn about oyster farming in Maine. Your Master Maine Guide Alice will be picking up oysters right from the bay for you to sample later.

You can go in a tandem/double sea kayak so that you can easily take pictures or go in a solo boat. Wear clothing for the day, but bring a synthetic fleece or windbreaker in case it is a bit chilly when we start. 

We'll stop after visiting the oyster farm on an island for an oyster sampling and snacks that you brought. Our route will be determined by the tide and paddle at the speed of the slowest sea kayak at the moment. You must wear a face mask or covering, bring your own snacks, water, sunscreen, and wear shoes that cover and attach to your feet that can get wet.
