Bird and Wildlife Watching

Did you see this moose? Would you like to see a white tailed deer, red fox, a porcupine, or beaver hutch? Well, no guide can guarantee that you will have a particular wildlife or bird sighting.  Alice's Awesome Adventures, LLC  will bring you to places that increase the probability that you could see certain wildlife. Using your eyes to look for movement or at the object that seems "different" could bring you success. We will quietly walk and explore local trails, walk around the edge of a field, or visit a marshy area to help us find our favorites.

When we paddle into a salt marsh to search for Great Blue Herons, Snowy Egrets, Sanderlings, salt grasses, we have the probability of a bald eagle or an osprey nest nearby. On most coastal trips we have a chance to see Great Black Backed gulls, Herring gulls, and Laughing gulls while passing Common Eider, Mallard, and Black ducks. Watching a Double Crested Cormorant drying its wings after fishing always makes me wonder whether they are a relative of a bat instead of being a diving duck. On quiet river paddles we often see mature and immature Bald Eagles, Belted Blue Kingfishers, Osprey, and fish jumping everywhere. On one favorite trip we'll admire the big beaver hutches and cross multiple beaver dams. 

Our customized tours can be early morning, throughout the day, or near sunset. We will set the time based on whether we are going by land or water, and the bird or wildlife we are trying to find. Bring your camera for that quick shot.
